The cemetery was one of our earliest projects (started Jan 2019): and certainly the biggest!
Overgrown pathways, crumbling tarmac, flower borders completely covered in weeds and generally looking neglected.
One of the first jobs was to open up the pathways which had become slippery when wet. Years of grass clippings had accumulated at the edges and rotted down which provided a nice mulch in which more grass had taken root.
The gravel path in the Chapel of Rest was almost lost under weeds, as were all the flower borders. And this is a perennial job which we still regularly clear today.
Another job was to create a wildflower patch near the main entrance. Hard work but the bees love it!
